Every year, clubs in District 7040 run a series of "Adventures" programmes for high school students. Some of the many adventures are in citizenship, environment and technology. This year two students from our community participated in the Adventures in High Tech programme run by the Rotary club of Nepean-Kanata from October 16th to 20th.
Tonight Gurjot and Oliver shared their experiences with members of the club. Included in their adventure were trips to Carleton and Ottawa Universities as well as Algonquin College. Commercial venues included InGenius Software, L-Spark, Shopify, NAV Canada and the Canadian Nuclear Laboratories at Chalk River. These young men said that they were made aware of educational and career opportunities that they wouldn't have known existed without the programme.
