Femme International

Our speaker this evening was Sabrina Rubli, founder of Femme International.

 

 

Femme International is an NGO that is dedicated to promoting education regarding menstrual health in Eastern Africa. Femme has been working in Kenya since 2013 as well as in Tanzania. Menstruation is a large deterrent to education for women who are not able to access information or products. There are cultural taboos that exist in many areas and isolation occurs for many women during menstruation. The organization is based on educating women about anatomy and strategies to ensure women are safe and healthy.
