This year saw a Kemptville Winter Carnival spring up on the creek. Organizers on short notice pulled together some groups to make the weekends of Feb -6 and 12-13 days of outdoor fun. The creek was originally cleared as a skateway by the Kinsmen Club years ago. Skating and shinny have returned this year after a long absence and are being enjoyed by many in the community. Pictured below are a couple members of our club who braced the cold to provide hot dogs and hamburgers to the hungry skaters enjoying a great community vibe.
